Songyi automatic hook
size
Dimension (L x W x H): 30 cm x 10 cm x 2 cm
Material
Top & bottom blocks: High-density ABS or HIPS plastic, matte white finish
Tensegrity “legs”: 4–6 strands of ultra-strong Dyneema or Spectra fishing line (Ø 1–1.5 mm, breaking strength >80 kg each)
Hidden magnets: 4–8 pieces of N52 neodymium ring/disc magnets (electroplated Ni-Cu-Ni)
Center disc: Aluminum alloy + acrylic light guide plate (for the glowing ring effect)
Base internals: Small PCB, 5–12 V electromagnet coil (optional active levitation versions), counterweights
Production Steps
Injection-mold the top and bottom ABS blocks in two separate molds; cool and eject.
CNC-mill precise cavities inside both blocks for magnet placement and wire routing.
Glue N52 neodymium magnets into the cavities with industrial epoxy (exact polarity and distance calibrated so they repel perfectly).
Thread and pre-tension the invisible Dyneema/Spectra lines through tiny side holes; each line is knotted or crimped so the structure becomes rigid once the magnets push the blocks apart.
Assemble the center LED ring: solder SMD LEDs onto a small PCB, insert into aluminum+acrylic light-guide disc, connect USB-C or DC power cable.
Fine-tune tension by hand — workers adjust each fishing line in 0.5 mm increments until the top floats perfectly level with 3–4 cm gap and can support 3–5 kg without touching the base.
Final quality check: spin test, weight test (place phone or book on top), glow test, and 24-hour stability test.
Pack with USB cable, manual, and spare fishing line.
