Manufacturing Process
3D Geometry Matching — Host case outer dimensions are measured and modelled in 3D CAD to generate the interior fit surface of both lid and base shell components, ensuring precise dimensional matching prior to tooling.
Injection Molding — High-precision tooling produces lid and base shell components with consistent wall thickness, smooth defect-free exterior surfaces, and accurately positioned LED window aperture and interior retention features.
Surface Preparation — Moulded ABS parts undergo multi-stage chemical etching and activation treatment to ensure uniform electroplating adhesion across all exterior surfaces including deep radiused corners and edge transitions.
Multi-Layer Electroplating — Parts pass through a controlled plating line: copper base layer for surface levelling and micro-defect fill, semi-bright nickel for corrosion resistance, bright nickel for maximum reflectivity, followed by a jewellery-grade mirror chrome top coat.
Pre-Plate Polishing — Exterior surfaces are hand-polished prior to plating to eliminate any injection moulding surface marks, ensuring a flawless, distortion-free mirror finish on the final chrome surface.
Assembly & Fit Verification — Completed chrome shells are test-fitted onto the target host case to verify lid alignment, retention security, port access, LED window alignment, and open-close action before shipment.
