Falling on September 25th this year, this traditional holiday is a time for family reunions, expressing gratitude, and celebrating the seasonal harvest.

Understanding the Traditions: Mooncakes, Pomelos, and Reunion
The Mid-Autumn Festival carries over a thousand years of history, centered around the full moon—a symbol of unity, completeness, and harmony. Two classic traditions define this holiday:
Sharing Mooncakes (月饼): These rich, round pastries are the ultimate icon of the festival. Their circular shape represents the full moon and family completeness. Sharing mooncakes among colleagues and family signifies sharing prosperity and sweet wishes for the future.
Enjoying Fresh Pomelos (柚子): In addition to mooncakes, seasonal fresh fruits like pomelos are an essential tradition. Beyond their refreshing citrus flavor, the Chinese word for pomelo (yòuzi) sounds like "protection" (yòu) and "reunion," symbolizing health, safety, and good fortune for the coming season.
